This week is Red Ribbon Week. The theme is “Life is your journey, travel drug free” The students will be participating in many activities throughout the week. In class they will be learning to Say No to Drugs through stories and songs.
Class News
Friday, October 26th at 9:00 am is the First Grade Mass. The students will be singing a song. All families are invited to attend the First Grade Mass.
The Fall Mini-Carnival is scheduled for Wednesday, October 31st. It will be held in the afternoon. The children need to purchase tickets for this event. The children use the tickets for playing games, making crafts, buying goodies and purchasing items from the Pumpkin Patch. An order form was sent to you in the Weekly Newsletter. It is recommended to purchase $5.00 worth of tickets. Please make sure that you order tickets for your children by Friday, October 26th. The tickets will be given to the children on Wednesday.
Halloween Costumes may be worn on Wednesday, October 31st. No bloody or scary costumes may be worn and no weapons can be brought to school.

For Red Ribbon Week the students have Dress Up days. They are as follows:
Mon: Oct 22nd – Wear your favorite Disney Character.
Tues., Oct. 23rd - Wear your favorite sports gear.
Wed., Oct. 24th – Dress like you have traveled to your favorite decade.
Thurs. Oct 25th – Wear your favorite Lions gear or Safari themed clothes.
Fri., Oct 26th – Wear Red or come dressed as your favorite book character.

Wed., Oct 24th – Lion’s lunch order is due
Fri., Oct 26th –Halloween Hot Lunch Order From is due at 8:00 am. The cost is $5.00.
On October 12th I had hernia surgery. I needed to take the week to recuperate. I have been released from the doctor and am very happy to return to the classroom.
