The season of Advent began on Sunday. This season begins the liturgical year of the Catholic Church and it is a special time for us to prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus Christ.
Class News
In the first grade classroom the children will learn about the meaning of Advent. They will also be making an Advent wreath to take home.
On Wednesday night the children will have Math, Spelling, Oral Reading and Religion homework. In Religion the children are to share what they have learned about Advent and the Advent wreath. A worksheet will be sent home to complete with your child. Please sign and return it on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Dec. 4th the students will attend an Environmental Defenders Assembly at 2:00 in the Parish Hall.
Thursday, December 6th is the Feast of Saint Nicholas. In Religion class the first graders will learn about this special saint.
School News
On Tuesday, December 4th the school is having a fundraiser at The Tea Station in Temple City. It will take place from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. All families are invited to attend.
On December 18th St. Luke Catholic School is presenting The Mission. Preferred seating is on sale for $10.00 in the school office.
The students of the school will be singing Christmas songs throughout the play.

Candy Grams are being sold by the Student Council from Dec 3rd- Dec 14th. The cost is 50 cents. Purchased candy grams will be passed out on Dec 18th.
